Une étape incontournable à Châteauneuf du Pape
Château la Nerthe is the oldest estate in Châteauneuf du Pape. At the beginning of the 20th century, its owner revived the cultivation of vines on the Châteauneuf du Pape terroir after its disappearance at the end of the 19th century due to phylloxera.
The magnificent château was built over a medieval cellar that is still used for ageing the finest vintages.
The QUIOT family has a long history. This line of winegrowers has been established in Chateauneuf du Pape for 13 generations and continues to develop independently and as a family. It all began in 1748 when Antoine QUIOT acquired a few plots of land in Chateauneuf du Pape. Since then, through marriage and inheritance, the Quiot family has patiently built up a small wine-growing empire, with 5 estates in Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Côte de Provence.
Today, Florence and Jean Baptiste are at the head of the estate, which they manage with great professionalism. Their father Jérôme, one of the most visionary figures in the wine world, helped build Chateauneuf du Pape's greatest commercial success.
Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is one of the greatest names in the Rhône Valley. For over a century, the estate has been managed by the Brunier family, producing rare wines shaped by a superb terroir and unique climate. Today, this emblem of Rhône Valley wines stands out among the elite of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and is distinguished by the style created by the Brunier family.
The estate is located on the famous Crau plateau. This exceptional terroir imbues the wines with a very special minerality, as if they had been filtered through the thick layer of rolled pebbles left behind when the Alpine glaciers melted, long before the Rhône valley was formed.

Montpellier has been renowned for its faculty of medicine since the 14th century. This tradition of science has continued until today. It is here that the most brilliant researchers invented viticulture and modern oenology. Around the School of Agriculture, Montpellier has built up over time the largest center of wine research in the world. The terroirs of Grès de Montpellier, Saint Georges d'Orques, Saint Drézéry and Méjanelle are among the oldest in Languedoc. Over the centuries, the rich aristocrats and doctors of Montpellier have built superb wine castles on these terroirs. They called them their folies (that meands in french crazy, you should understand why when you visit it).
